The highlight of the day had to be when Melissa jumped on a snowmobile in her wedding dress and took off for some pictures at Jason parents place.

I have to give a big thank you to Scott McQuarrie of Re:Action Photography, one of Kitchener-Waterloo’s best wedding photographers who second shot for me and produced some fantastic images.

The stunning wedding cake was from Ida over at Sweet Sweets.

From a hair and make up in the pre-dawn to multiple tea ceremonies to a stunning reception at the Liberty Grand in Toronto, Sokie & Anhtuan’s wedding was an amazing day jam packed full of emotions and good times.

I was honored to shoot alongside the cinematographers from Still Motion (you can see their take on the wedding here).  These guys really are some of the best in the wedding industry!

I’d like to thank Alex Black for second shooting and Suzette and her team from Exquisite Occasions for doing an amazing job planning the wedding.

But not once that day did I see anything but a smile on Kendra’s face…. even when the heavens opened up in biblial Moses-like fashion during her outdoor ceremony or in the middle of her first dance on the patio!

And Kendra wasn’t the only one, everyone at the wedding seemed to just take it in stride… enjoying the day and helping Kendra & Ryan celebrate their big day.

After the beautiful outdoor ceremony on her parents front lawn, we headed up to Raven Golf Club near Collingwood for a fun filled reception

This pretty much sums up Sylvia & Mike’s wedding in Toronto.

There were lots of great moments in between those too, from stopping at a pub in her wedding dress to a really, really dirty joke told by the best man. (no, I’m not going to repeat it.)

Here are some of my favourite wedding pictures from the day.

For a bit of a change, I started the morning with the guys at Mirela & Naders house in North York.   After a couple whacks on the snooze button and a screw up with the tux order, thee guys were all ready to go.

From there, I met up with the girls at a hotel suite for some hair & make up shots.

We all then headed up to Caledon for a nice, but windy, ceremony followed by cocktails & dinner.

Well, Brittany & Frank certainly had one of those little things happen on their big day.

They couple had asked Franks uncle to officiate the ceremony, and while he gave a touching and heartfelt service, he did forget one little thing… the wedding license.   I thought it was great that everyone carried on like nothing was wrong, even to the point of ‘faking’ the signing of the license up at the front of the church!  Of course, they made it all official right after the ceremony, but I think it’s one of those stories they’ll be telling their grandkids.
Here are some of my favourite images of the day, from getting ready at Brittany’s moms house in Cambridge to the ceremony in Drayton and the reception at the Waterloo Inn.

Watching from the bridal suite, we watched as the earlier weddings struggled with umbrellas, raincoats and off road limo driving trying to keep the bride dry.

But of course, minutes before Jackie & Colin’s ceremony in the chapel at the Doctor’s House the rain stopped and we had that beautiful overcast light for the ceremony and the pictures.

Here are some of my favourite images from the day.

The couple got ready for their wedding in adjoining rooms at Miller Lash House but still managed to avoid seeing each other before the big moment when Danielle walked down the isle during the wedding ceremony.  As luck would have it, the rain stopped mere seconds before the ceremony.

The reception was an amazing event prepared by Marigolds & Onions, one of Toronto’s best catering and event companies.

Keron, who’s family is from Trindad & Tobago, incorporated a lot of that culture into the reception.  The couple surprised everyone when their traditional Western first dance came to a screeching halt and they switched over to some fun Caribbean dancing.

The dancing and partying carried on well into the night.
